Supporting the Economy with Training and Loans
This project is aimed at boosting the economy in the northwest of the Iraqi governorate of Ninewa. Some 1,300 internally displaced persons, returnees and members of host communities are participating in a cash for work programme. 400 people will receive training and apprenticeships. A further 600 will be trained in business planning, finance and marketing. They will then receive business grants worth $4,000 each or loans for microbusinesses.
