Qualifications for Rebuilding

Following 3 years of war, the terror inflicted by Daesh has resulted in destruction, trauma, and 1.6 million IDPs in northern Iraq. Through this project, Welthungerhilfe supports displaced people who are now returning to their homes by offering them a vocational education and training in the construction sector. The extremely high demand in this sector guarantees a secure job for new graduates and helps them to start over after the war. In addition, an active construction industry is stimulating the economy and accelerating the reconstruction of completely devastated infrastructure.
