Although the so-called Islamic State/Daesh has been beaten back, northern Iraq has yet to recover from the war there. After having fled to other parts of the country, many people are now returning home, where they have to rebuild their lives from scratch. In many cases, they continue to depend on humanitarian assistance. This project provides several forms of aid to young women and men to establish new livelihoods, especially in the food production sector. It enables them to apply for small grants, replace lost equipment, and learn the fundamentals of starting and running a small business.
